At Dental Arts of Torowa your health, safety and comfort are of the utmost importance. To ensure your health and the health of our staff, we strictly adhere to all Infection Control Guidelines set by ADA, NJDA, and OSHA. Rooms, equipment and instruments are meticulously disinfected and sterilized following OSHA protocol. Moreover, we implemented additional measures to prevent patients exposure to any infectious disease.
DENTIST AND DENTAL TEAM PREPARATION
Dentist and staff monitor themselves for any respiratory symptoms and check their temperature daily.
All reading materials and non essential furniture are removed from the waiting room. A transparent barrier is placed in front of check in /check out counters. Waiting room chairs are set at least 6 feet apart.
Charts are not taken outside the reception area. Operatories are set up to use chartless software. The use of paperwork is minimized.
Dentist, hygienists, and assistants wear N95 masks, disposable gowns, bouffant hats, and face shields.
Appointments are scheduled far enough apart to minimize possible contact between patients. Patients are encouraged not to bring any companions except where a patient requires assistance.
Each operatory has air purifier which captures 99% of air particles including viruses using HEPA filtration to provide fresh, clean air.
SCREENING FOR COVID-19
Before an appointment is scheduled, the patient is interviewed by telephone or text monitoring system. Patients are presented with questions about any respiratory symptoms, fever or possible COVID-19 exposure.
Patients wait for their appointments inside their cars. They will be contacted by phone when it is their turn to be seen.
Patients are instructed to wear face covering or masks before entering the office.
Upon arrival, patients’ temperature is taken by a remote thermometer. They are escorted into the operatory right away.
Hand washing stations are available in each operatory.
